Campania:
punto di partenza per visitare questa regione
è il capoluogo Napoli, metropoli che ancora
oggi conserva i segni di una storia millenaria:
basti citare le zone archeologiche di Pompei,
ai piedi del vulcano Vesuvio, e di Paestum
poco più a sud. A nord, le verdeggianti
pianure digradano dolcemente fino a Santa
Maria Capua Vetere, nota per le rovine romane.
Ad est è collocata la montuosa e solitaria
provincia di Benevento. Ma è il mare l'elemento
paesaggistico peculiare: oltre alle isole
del Golfo di Napoli (Capri, Ischia e Procida)
sono rinomate anche la Costiera amalfitana
e quella del Cilento. |

Campania:
Naples is a point of departure for visiting
the Campania region. This metropolis even
today conserves the signs of its millenarian
history. It is enough to cite the archaeological
zones of Pompeii, at the foot of the volcano
Vesuvius, and further south, Paestum. To the
north the green plains gently descend towards
Santa Maria Capua Vetere, noted for its Roman
ruins. To the east is the solitary and mountainous
province of Benevento. But the sea is the
most special element of the landscape. Besides
the islands of the Gulf of Naples (Capri,
Ischia and Procida), the Amalfi and Cilento
coastlines are also famous. |

Kampanien:
Ausgangspunkt fuer Touren in dieser Region
ist die Hauptstadt von Neapel, Metropole,
die noch heute die Spuren einer tausendjaehrigen
Geschichte bewaehrt. Es genuegt zu erwaehnen
die archaeologischen Ortschaften von Pompeji,
am Fussen des Vulkans Vesuv, und ein wenig
suedlich Paestum. Noerdlich faellt die gruene
Ebene sanft zum Santa Maria Capua Vetere hin
ab, das beruehmt fuer seine roemische Ruinen
ist. Oestlich liegt die gebirgige und einsame
Provinz von Benevento. Das Meer ist aber das
Hauptmerkmal dieser Region: Ausser den Inseln
des Neapel Golfes (Capri, Ischia und Procida)
sind auch die Costa Amalfitana und die von
Cilento sehr bekannt. |
