V. Giulia: la regione italiana pił nord-orientale
con un un territorio non vastissimo ma molto
vario.
Scendendo da nord, le montagne delle Alpi
Carniche coi grandissimi boschi di abeti,
poi la parte pianeggiante della pianura
Padana, la cittą romana di Aquileia, infine
il mare di Trieste.
Trieste, il capoluogo, si trova a pochi
km dal confine sloveno.

most north-easterly region of Italy, is small
but varied.
In the north there are the Carnica Alps with
their great fir tree forests, then there is
the flat plain of the Po Valley, the roman
city of Aquileia and, finally, the sea at
Trieste.
The most important city, Trieste, is close
to Slovenia frontier. |

Region Italiens hat ein nicht so ausgedehntes
aber sehr abwechslungsreiches Gebiet. Von
Norden kommend, ist die Gebirgskette der Karnischen
Alpen mit weiten Tannenwaeldern zu bewundern,
dann die flache Po-Ebene, die roemische Stadt
von Aquileia und schliesslich das Meer von
Triest. Triest, die Hauptstadt, liegt wenige
Kilometer entfernt von der slowenischen Grenze. |
