Sardegna:
una regione nella lo scorrere del tempo sembra
essere più lento, persistendo antiche tradizioni
e costumi. I nuraghe, enigmatiche costruzioni
preistoriche e gli ancestrali villaggi racchiusi
dalle montagne del Gennargentu conferiscono
fascino ad un'isola dai mille volti, sempre
diversi. L'interno è caratterizzato da impervie
zone montuose dove si aprono larghissime valli
verdi coperte dalla macchia, un terreno erboso
mescolato a mirto, serpillo, fichi d'India
e querce nane. La costa presenta un incantevole,
splendido mare, baie ed insenature isolate,
grotte, lunghissime spiagge di sabbia bianca
e rosa. A nord-est, le montagne irrompono
a picco sulla Costa Smeralda, l'area costiera
più esclusiva dell'isola. Più a Sud, la linea
di costa attorno al Golfo di Orosei è completamente
vergine. Da segnalare anche la zona di Oristano
e lo stretto delle Bocche di Bonifacio. Altre
località di rilievo sono il Golfo di Cagliari,
la Baia di Alghero e la Gallura. |

Sardinia:
Sardinia is a region in which time seems to
pass more slowly, and where ancient traditions
and customs still persist. The "nuraghe",
enigmatic prehistoric constructions, and the
ancestral villages sheltered within the mountains
of Gennargentu add to the fascination of this
island with a thousand faces, always different.
The interior is characterized by impervious
mountain zones containing wilde green valleys
covered by scrub, a grassy land with a mixture
of myrtle, serpillo, India figs and dwarf
oaks. The coast presents an enchantingly splendid
sea, bays and isolated inlets, grottoes, very
long stretches of white and pink sand. To
the northeast the mountains stick out along
the Esmeralda coast, the most exclusive area
of coastline. Further south the coastline
around the Gulf of Orosei is completely virgin.
The area of Oristano and the strait of Bocche
di Bonifacio are also noteworthy. Other important
places are the Bay of Alghero, the Gulf of
Cagliari and Gallura. |

Sardinien:
eine Region, wo man den Eindruck hat, dass
die Zeit langsamer verbringt, da alte Traditionen
und Sitten fortsetzen. Die Nurag(h)en, raetselhafte
praehistorische Bauwerke, und die alten Doerfer
auf dem Berg des Gennargentu geben dieser
vielgestaltigen Insel Zauber. Das Innere ist
durch eine unwegsame Gebirgslandschaft gekennzeichnet,
wo weite gruene Taeler aufgehen, die mit Niederwald,
einem grasigen aus Myrte, Gartenthymian, Feigenkaktus,
Zwergeichen bestehenden Gebiet, bedeckt sind.
Die Kueste bietet ein bezauberndes Meer, einen
langen Badestrand aus weissen und rosa Sand,
tiefe Buchten, Baien und Hoehlen. Nord-oestlich
faellt das Gebirge steil ueber die Costa Smeralda,
den exklusivsten Kuestenstreifen dieser Insel.
Weiter im Sueden ist der Kuestenstrich um
den Golf von Orosei voellig unberuehrt. Nennenswert
sind auch das Land von Oristano und die Strassen
von Bonifacio. Andere Sehenswuerdigkeiten
sind der Golf von Cagliari, die Bucht von
Alghero und das Gallura, ein nord-oestliches
Land der Region Sardinien. |
